2014 Christmas Candlelight Home Tour

Christmas Home TourThe North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club’s (NMBWC) annual Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes held on Friday, December 5th was a great success. This annual holiday home tour is one of the NMBWC’s events focused on raising money for local charities.

NMBWC club members Carla Shaw and Kathy Heagan were the 2014 chairpersons for the tour. With assistance of club members, they planned the event which included a self-guided holiday home tour of six local homes, bake sale, holiday raffle and door prizes. Carla and Kathy wish to extend a sincere “Thank You” to homeowners, Keith and Trish Hale; Patric and Reba Siniscalch; Bunky and Carissa Ford; Keith and Tina Haywood,;John and Tara Griffiths; and Buddy and Tammy Phillips. Each home displayed a unique decorating aesthetic ranging from an inviting coastal-casual theme to elegant traditional holiday décor.

The club wishes to thank the following program sponsors: Thomas Hogan Travel, CENTURY 21 Thomas, Hope Taylor and Company, Elliott Beach Rentals, Better Homes and Gardens Elliott Coastal Living, North Strand Housing Center, Aladdin Realty, Seacoast Podiatry, Purpleologist, Hopeologist, Gordy the Handyman, and Benny Rappa’s for their program sponsorships.

Susan Burgess was the lucky recipient of the Holiday Dinner and Entertainment package donated by Alabama Theatre and Greg Norman’s Australian Grill. Club member, Jill Moore donated a beautiful Christmas painting won by Nancy Kovich and Jean Skinner won a gorgeous holiday wreath designed by membership chairperson, Stephanie Williams. Club member Toni Phillips also designed our grand door prize wreath and Leslie Elliot was the lucky winner.

“The homes were beautiful this year and through the generosity of homeowners and tour-goers we raised approximately $10,000,” said Janine Lawson, NMBWC President. “We are so grateful to the North Myrtle Beach community for coming out to support this event. The turnout was truly wonderful.”
