2016 Contributions

Each year our two fundraisers, “Purses with Purpose” and Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes”, help us make these contributions. We appreciate the continued support of our businesses and our community.

Bold and Beautiful Wigs for Cancer…..provides beautiful natural wigs to those suffering from the effects of cancer treatments. $1000 Oct. 2016
Children’s Recovery Center…..Provides forensic interviews, medical examinations, & effective advocacy for children suspected of having suffered sexual abuse in a manner which minimizes re-victimization during these processes. $1,000 Mar. 2016
Carolina Adaptive Sports…..Serves the recreational needs of persons with disabilities in communities with allocation earmarked for the disabled clients of the NMB Aquatic Center. $1,000 May 2016
Current Transitions…..provides ongoing life skills classes for individuals with cognitive disorders and intellectual disabilities. $500 Mar. 2016
Dominic’s Notebook…..equips underprivileged children with school supplies and everyday needs to help inspire hope for their future. $500 Oct. 2016
Friendship Medical Clinic…..provides basic, primary medical care & medications to low income & underserved adults in Horry County. $2,000 Nov. 2016
GFWC-SC Endowment, Scholarship, Progress Foundation…supports the GFWC-SC Endowment; GFWC-SC Scholarship provides scholarships to South Carolina high school students; and the GFWC-SC Progress Foundation works to prevent cruelty to children in South Carolina $1,500 Feb. 2016
Girl Scouts of Eastern Carolina…..strives to build girls of courage, confidence, & character. Funding targets the Horry County Girl Scout Troop. $1,000 Oct. 2016
Grand Strand Blue Star Mothers…..serves to support families of service men/women  and to send support to our troops in the military. $500 Mar. 2016
Habitat for Humanity…..builds homes, communities, and hopes for others $1,000 Oct. 2016
Hope’s Kitchen….dedicated to helping individuals and families in need in NMB $500 May 2016
Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach…..locates loving & permanent homes for abandoned animals. $2,000 April 2016
Katie’s Project…..provides formal wear and accessories to high school students who can not afford such. $1,000 May 2016
Kind Keeper Animal Rescue…..provides care and a safe environment for all homeless pets and rescued animals $500 Nov. 2016
Law Enforcement United…..honors the service and sacrifice of all law enforcement officers by supporting survivors left behind. $500 April 2016
Matthew Bellamy Project…..educates adults and young persons to be responsible for the proper storage of firearms. $500 April 2016
McLeod Seacoast Foundation…..funds essential programs, services, and equipment supporting patients of McLeod Seacoast Healthcare. $1,000 Oct. 2016
New Directions of Horry County…..operates 4 shelters along the Grand Strand to assist men, women, and families with emergency, non-emergency, long term, and transitional housing. $2,000 Nov. 2016
North Myrtle Beach High School Student Scholarship…awarded to deserving high school students $4,000 May 2016
North Myrtle Beach Schools Student Emergency….total amount is divided between five area schools to supplement school medical resources. $2,500 Sept. 2016
North Strand Helping Hand…..provides emergency aid such as food, clothing, and financial aid to individuals and families in need in the North Strand area. $1,000 Apr. 2016
North Strand Housing Shelter…..Provides shelter and support for those in need. $3,000 Nov. 2016
Quilts of Valor….covers service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing “Quilts of Valor” $500 April 2016
Sea Haven Inc., Home for Youth…..provides emergency crisis services for youth from ages 13 to 21 years old in Horry County. $2,000 Nov. 2016
SOS Healthcare, Inc.…..This contribution is targeted for Autism Advocacy and provides transportation for autistic children attending summer camp. $1,000 May 2016
Teen Angel…..supports and cares for homeless teens at North Myrtle Beach High School. $1,000 Apr. 2016
Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center…supports servicemen in need. $1,000 Apr. 2016
Waccamaw Youth Center…provides comprehensive residential services to up to 20 neglected and struggling youth ages 10 to 21. $1,000 Sept. 2016
